Medical Disclaimer

Last updated: May 24, 2026

Please read this Medical Disclaimer carefully before using LabTestly. It explains what the Service is, what it is not, and what to do if you have a medical concern. It supplements, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service.

1. Informational only

LabTestly is an AI-assisted tool that helps you understand laboratory test results in plain English. It is not a medical device, a doctor, a diagnostic service, or a treatment system. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or treatment. Its purpose is to help you read your own report more comfortably and prepare for a conversation with a qualified healthcare professional.

2. Not a substitute for professional medical advice

Never delay seeking, ignore, or alter medical care based on anything LabTestly produces. Decisions about diagnosis, treatment, medication, supplements, diet, or any other medical matter should be made together with a qualified healthcare professional who knows your full medical history. Do not start, stop, or change any medication, supplement, treatment, diet, or medical routine based on the Service without speaking to a qualified healthcare professional. If your clinician and the Service appear to disagree, follow your clinician.

3. AI limitations

Artificial intelligence can produce output that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or out of context. Laboratory reference ranges vary by laboratory, measurement method, age, sex, pregnancy, medication, time of day, and clinical circumstances. Numbers presented without that context are not enough to make a medical decision. The Service may also misread uploaded files, including numbers, units, dates, names, or reference ranges. Treat every explanation as a starting point, not a conclusion.

4. Emergencies

If you have urgent symptoms, feel unwell, or believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, stop using the Service and contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not wait for an answer from LabTestly. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately or go to the nearest emergency department.

5. Doctor PDF and Health Story

Any summary the Service produces, including the Doctor PDF and the Health Story, is a conversation-starter intended to be reviewed with your healthcare provider. It is not a medical record, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a clinical referral. Your provider may interpret the same values differently in light of information the Service does not have. These summaries should not be used for urgent medical decisions.

6. No doctor-patient relationship

Using the Service does not create a doctor-patient, physician-client, therapist-client, or any other professional healthcare relationship between you and LabTestly or its operators.

7. No guarantee of completeness

The Service may miss findings, misread values, omit important context, or present information in a way that does not match your clinical situation. Always cross-check anything that matters with a qualified clinician who can examine you and review your full medical history.

8. Reliance is at your own risk

Any reliance you place on information from the Service is solely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LabTestly is not liable for health-related decisions you make on the basis of the Service, including but not limited to delays in diagnosis, missed conditions, or adverse reactions. This Disclaimer is read together with the limitation of liability set out in our Terms of Service.

9. Updates

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will also be announced in the Service or by email where appropriate.
