Understand inflammation markers in your lab result
Learn how to read inflammation markers in your blood test result, what high or low flags can mean, and which related markers to check before talking to your doctor.
Reference ranges vary by lab. One result alone cannot diagnose a condition.
Don't guess from one marker alone.
Upload your full blood test PDF and see how these markers fit with the rest of your results, reference ranges and trends.

- CRPC-Reactive Protein
CRP is a protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation anywhere in the body. It rises rapidly within hours of an inflammatory stimulus and falls quickly when the cause resolves.
- ESRErythrocyte Sedimentation Rate
ESR measures how quickly red blood cells sink to the bottom of a blood sample over one hour. Inflammation causes proteins in blood to make cells clump and fall faster.
- FibrinogenPlasma Fibrinogen
Fibrinogen is a blood-clotting protein produced by the liver. It is converted into fibrin during clot formation and also acts as an acute-phase reactant that rises with inflammation.
